New Smash Bros characters King K. Rool, Chrom, and Dark Samus were all showcased for the first time in a quiet release by Nintendo.
Arguably the most interesting gameplay is that of King K. Rool versus Solid Snake. The gameplay showcases the nerfed air dodging mechanics, as Snake is able to sneak out a kill on King K. Rool while in mid-air with a homing missile.
King K. Rool hits back hard, though. In a really unique moment, King K. Rool’s neutral special move is showcased. The cannonball is blasted off, and as it is traveling away from the players, Snake is knocked into the projectile by a hit from the King.

In a team battle, Dark Samus and Ridley face off against Lucina and Chrom. In this gameplay video, it is more evident than before that Chrom is indeed Roy’s echo fighter. Chrom makes similar motions and sounds as Roy does when countering, smash attacking, and doing his side special.
Dark Samus looks eerie as she (it?) floats above the battlefield. While Dark Samus only differs aesthetically from regular Samus, I can only imagine Dark Samus being the obvious pick of the two. Why not choose the alt that makes you float on air and have dark energy powers?
