America’s Got Talent was live last night with the third of four quarterfinals. Some of the acts seemed nervous, but some were incredible.
Howard Stern noted how the judges from all the other shows are leaving, and he wonders why. This is interesting given that AGT has asked him back for another season.
The Untouchables were up first, and Howard Stern called them “remarkable.” Howie said that with dancers their age it typically seems like a recital, but they seemed professional. Sharon says she adores them.
Wisconsin native (this writer’s home state) Rock Star Juggler Mike Price was up next. He incorporated a unicycle into his act, but the judges weren’t impressed overall. He didn’t do himself any favors by dropping a bowling pin. Price cited the pressure as the reason he dropped it. Duh. Of course there’s pressure. It’s reality TV.
Known as the urban Glee, Inspire the Fire took the stage next. Howie wasn’t inspired and he thought it seemed like a cheesy high school musical. He said that The Untouchables outdanced them and that their singing wasn’t strong. Sharon said everything about it seemed wrong. Howard said they did themselves a lot of damage and that it seemed like a rehearsal.
Cristin Sandu took the stage next. His act was extremely difficult and he fell, but without harm. Howard gave him an ‘X’ because it didn’t work. Sandu too cited nerves. Sharon felt sorry because he is talented. Howie also feels terrible and the judges and the crowd gave him a round of applause. The end for Sandu is in sight.
