X-Men: Days of Future Past images and video have been released, which feature Peter Dinklage as his character Bolivar Trask along with some shots of his sentinel robots.
As Dinklage would be playing Bolivar Trask, who is the creator of the mutant-hunting Sentinel robots, we weren’t surprised to have our first look at the Sentinels, or at least, their heads at this year’s Comic-Con. Official posters were also released, which featured mutant crushing robots from Trask Industries.
We imagine Peter Dinklage’s character will be the one promoting this message to the people. A website was revealed, which features Trask Industries, the company in which Dinklage creates the Sentinels that are used to eradicate mutants in the future. Now we have images and video footage from the website.
First off, take a look at the somewhat creepy video which shows how the sentinels will “help” with our daily lives, and we get a nice glimpse of the sentinel at the end of the video.
ScreenCrush revealed a new image of Peter Dinklage as Bolivar Trask, and while we’ve seen him before, it’s certainly a hilarious headshot of the Game of Thrones actor as Bolivar Trask.
They’ve also released an interesting gif of Peter Dinklage, playing Bolivar Trask in what appears to be his lab looking into a microscope. This footage came from a short video from the official Trask website, and it definitely makes for a great gif of the actor.
Then we see three new images of the sentinels, which appear to be playing a major role in X-Men: Days of Future Past. The sentinels will essentially be attempting to eradicate mutants from the Earth. Bolivar Trask, Dinklage’s character, will be the head scientist and owner of the company which will be pushing the government to use them.
You may notice the sentinel robots seen below are in historical images. One is even seen standing at guard behind the Presidential inauguration of President Ronald Reagan, which means this whole time travel business is going to create some very interesting situations. This seems like a nice tie in for how they used the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis in X-Men: First Class.
Director Bryan Singer’s latest approach for keeping fans informed with the filming of X-Men: Days of Future Past, by tweeting loads of set photos, appears to be a success so far. The official viral website being released also seems to be making waves with fans. It definitely gives us fun tidbits to chew on until X-Men: Days of Future Past’s release date, May 23, 2014.
