X-Men: Days of Future Past definitely has a presence at this year’s Comic-Con, and with their panel starting Saturday, we’re given our first look at the film’s official logo.
Rumors were being spread earlier this week that X-Men: Days of Future Past’s Comic-Con panel would be where director Brian Singer announces some specific plot details about the film, as well as the first footage from the film. We’d also heard who Game of Thrones actor, Peter Dinklage, would be playing in the film.
As Dinklage would be playing Bolivar Trask, who is the creator of the mutant-hunting Sentinel robots, we aren’t surprised to also have our first look at the Sentinels, or at least, their heads.
Click on the official logo below to view it in HD, the Sentinels heads, and some new character portraits which give us a look at future Magneto and Professor Charles Xavier:
You’ll also notice above where the poster says “Mutants are the enemies.” We imagine Peter Dinklage’s character will be the one promoting this message to the people. A website has also been revealed, which features Trask Industries, the company in which Dinklage creates the Sentinels that are used to eradicate mutants in the future.
Earlier this week we reported a fairly big spoiler, which involved Ellen Page’s character and time-travel, be sure to check that out as it may be how X-Men veteran Anna Paquin’s character, Rogue, ends up alongside the younger mutants.
She’s one character we haven’t seen a set image of yet, so it’ll be interesting to see how the True Blood actress has evolved since her experience with the first few X-Men films.
Whether these rumors are true remains to be seen, but since the X-Men: Days of Future Past’s Comic-Con panel will be held this Saturday, we’ll know for sure in the next few days.
Bryan Singer’s interesting approach to keep fans informed with the filming of X-Men: Days of Future Past, by tweeting loads of set photos, appears to be a success so far. It definitely gives fans fun tidbits to chew on until X-Men: Days of Future Past’s release date, May 23, 2014.
Make sure to check back at Hypable starting today as we currently have eight writers attending Comic-Con to report from as many panels as possible this year. We expect our Comic-Con coverage to be very thorough and incredibly speedy.
