New information about Daryl Dixon’s fate in The Walking Dead season 5 finale may have been revealed by a source that lives near the actor’s home in Georgia where the show is filmed.
Update 2: Obviously Daryl did not die during the season 5 finale. But here’s who did!
Update: Soon after this report went live, AMC released the final image before tomorrow’s Walking Dead season 5 finale, and guess who it features? (see top image)
An interesting report about one of the most beloved characters on The Walking Dead recently emerged, which proved that Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl, has put his house in Georgia up for sale. The source comes from a forum where a man who lives “about 90 miles from the actor,” but has visited the filming sites before, and has seen Norman at this particular home in Georgia.
The source said, “I have to ponder why someone would list their house the week before they are killed off of a show since they are taped nearly half a season in advance.” This is a bit strange, and something one would think that a show as secretive as The Walking Dead would keep on the down low, but a lot of times real estate information has to end up being made public knowledge.
Norman’s house, which is in Palmetto, GA is currently for sale for $585,000. The address, 9044 Selborne Lane, includes a 5,300 sqft home, with three beds, three and a half bathrooms and has been publicly visible on the website Estately for just 26 days. But, the home was put on sale 49 days ago privately, and only was only recently made public.
The source also reports that the cast seems like they’re “still a few weeks off from starting to film season 6 and with him selling and already moved, they feel ol’ Norman dies Sunday.” Now, we love a good rumor, but this one has some decent evidence.
Actors often buy homes where they film, and then sell them once their filming is complete, or a production company rents them a home, and they sell it after filming is finished. But this looks like a home Norman was living in for a couple of years now, and he reportedly owns it, and wishes to sell the home now that Walking Dead season 5’s finale airs Sunday, and season 6 is set to begin filming over the next few months.
Of course, Reedus could simply be looking to sell his house and move into a larger one, as he’s a star on the rise, and a major part of The Walking Dead. Plus, the possibility of the writing team killing off one of the most, if not the most, popular character on the show would cause pandemonium, but maybe they feel they need that type of hype going into an off season.
When Norman Reedus was asked by EW Tonight what fans should expect for The Walking Dead season 5 finale, the actor said, “Wow… bring your Kleenex and you’ll be screaming at your television.”
We’re unsure how we feel about this, and whether it means Daryl dies in tomorrow’s season 5 finale, but some investigating has taken place on the sources end, and ours, and the home is definitely Norman’s and it is for sale. We just hope he’s just moving on from Alexandria, and not from The Walking Dead altogether.
We hope Daryl lives, as we’ve seen him change so much in the last few episodes. While he hasn’t been around that much, it actually leads us to believe he won’t be dying in the finale, but we won’t know until The Walking Dead season 5 finale airs Sunday.
Also, just as a reminder, the show’s finale is 90-minutes long Sunday night, so be sure to double check your DVR is set to record the entire episode. Norman Reedus will also be on their 60-minute after show Talking Dead. (group hug)
