When the Markofthespider-man.com website appeared online, many still had Whysoserious.com on their minds. Now, phase two of the viral campaign is in full swing.
The viral moves pulled by the PR team of The Amazing Spider-Man turned some heads yesterday when notable online sources received packages from Sony marked as the “property of Peter Parker.” Check out these photos below courtesy of CBM, First Showing and Hitfix!

Later in the day, timers appeared on the markofthespider-man website with different Twitter accounts launching for each major city in the United States. No one knew by this point if the Twitter accounts were real or not.
The Twitter accounts tweeted clues about locations in their respective cities all leading to…this guy.
Fortunately, this guy was the key to the whole campaign. This particular operative gave our friend at First Showing a special Spidey cell phone (sound familiar to anyone else?) that they were told to carry at all times. When all of the packages were picked up, the website changed to it’s current state, with a message.
All operatives have been selected and are standing by for further communication.
Stay vigilant, we will be in touch over the next couple of days.
