While Sandler’s Netflix movies seem to always premiere to mixed reviews, they’re still bringing a lot of watchful eyes to Netflix. According to EW, 2019’s Murder Mystery starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston was one of Netflix’s most viewed films of the year, with it being viewed in 83 million households in its first four weeks alone.
All together, Sandler’s original Netflix movies have accumulated over 2 billion hours of viewing time since 2015.
Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, Ted Sarandos, commented on the deal, saying, “I could not be more excited to extend our partnership with Adam and the Happy Madison team and deliver more laughs around the world.”
Outside of his work with Netflix, Adam Sandler is still lending his voice to the Hotel Transylvania series as Dracula. The fourth movie in the series will be released in 2021.
