Actress Rebekah Graf is the latest to join the growing cast of The CW’s upcoming Walker, Texas Ranger reboot.

Update (1/7/21): Graf, whose previous television credits include roles on S.W.A.T., Hawaii Five-0, and The Kominsky Method, is set to take om the role of Crystal on Walker, which stars Supernatural vet Jared Padalecki.

If the description for her character is anything to go by, it seems as though Crystal might be a bit of a loose cannon.

Per Deadline, Crystal is described a as bright eyed, wild, and charming, as well as the type of woman who “married an unhinged criminal because he promised her an exciting life.”

Though she is considered to be reckless, as well as someone for whom lying comes easy, Crystal is also described as someone who was a “humanity beneath her.”

Rebekah Graf is the latest actor to join the cast of the upcoming CW revival.

She joins previously announced cast members Genevieve Padalecki, Molly Hagan, Keegan Allen, and Lindsey Morgan, all of whom have previously signed on to star opposite Padalecki in The CW’s Walker

Original Story (9/14/2020): The CW’s upcoming Walker, Texas Ranger reboot has just added Genevieve Padalecki to its cast.

According to Deadline, actress Genevieve Padalecki has officially joined the cast of The CW’s Walker, Texas Ranger reboot, Walker.

Padalecki (whose previous credits include Supernatural and Wildfire) has signed on for a recurring role on the new series.

Specifically she’ll be playing the role of Emily, Cordell Walker’s wife. The reboot finds Padalecki’s real life husband, Jared Padalecki, taking on the role as the titular character.

Walker’s late wife is described as strong, capable, generous, brave, and focused on helping the disenfranchised. When the series kicks off its first season, fans can expect to see Emily appearing in flashbacks over the course of the show.

Padalecki isn’t the only newly announced cast member who’s joined the project.

Others who’ve recently joined the cast include Molly Hagan (iZombie, Jane the Virgin), Keegan Allen (Pretty Little Liars), and Lindsey Morgan (The 100).

Hagan, who’s previously worked on CW titles such as Jane the Virgin and iZombie will be playing the role of Abeline, Walker’s (Padalecki) mother on the reboot.

Described as “an unstoppable force of nature,” Abeline has strong roots in the Lone Star State. A third generation Texas rancher, Abeline is smart, perceptive, “always puts the family first and never hesitates to give advice whether asked for or not.”

Meanwhile, Keegan Allen has officially signed on to play the role of Cordell Walker’s brother, Liam.

Liam is “Walker’s younger gay and conservative brother who has been recently promoted to assistant DA. Liam and Walker are close, but Liam gives his brother no shortage of tough love. Liam has always stayed close to home, often sacrificing his personal life in favor of his family duties. In Walker’s absence, he stepped up to take Walker’s kids under his wing. Liam’s close relationship with Walker’s son and daughter makes Walker slightly jealous.”

Allen isn’t the only familiar face who’ll be joining the Supernatural vet in the reboot.

In fact, earlier this month, it was announced that The 100 alum Lindsey Morgan had also joined the cast in the role of Micki.

Morgan’s involvement with the forthcoming series was first reported by Variety on February 5, 2020, who also revealed that she’ll be playing the role of Micki– a born and raised San Antonian who becomes Walker’s new partner following his move back to Austin.

Micki is described as “focused and perceptive, her family has been in Texas since before it was Texas. She’s been in the Army and on the police force and knows first-hand what it’s like to be singled out and discriminated against because of her gender.”

Both she and Allen join Supernatural star Jared Padalecki , who officially signed on to star in the forthcoming reboot back in September 2019.

Padalecki will play the titular Cordell Walker– a widowed father of two who comes back to Austin following two years of undercover work on a high profile case. Life back home gets a bit more complicated after he realizes that there’s still work left to be done on the case he presumed was shut.
