BoJack Horseman has been renewed for a sixth and final season at Netflix, with a final run that will air in two parts.
Looks like it’s the season for announcing final seasons over at Netflix.
Recently, the streaming site has announced final seasons for Grace and Frankie and GLOW. Joining those two shows for one final season is BoJack Horseman, the adult animated comedy about a talking horse navigating his life as a washed-up 1990s sitcom star. Netflix announced this morning that the show will end with its upcoming sixth — and now final — season.
Check out the trailer for the final season below!
BoJack Horseman centers on the story of BoJack, a horse man who was a former ’90’s sitcom star of the fictional smash hit, Horsing Around. 18 years after the surprise cancellation of the show, BoJack — completely adrift in a boozy sea of self-loathing — decides that it’s time for a comeback.
The show follows BoJack as he tries to do just that along with the aid of his human sidekick, Todd, and his literal cat lady ex-girlfriend turned agent, Carolyn. BoJack must navigate doing so not only in a Hollywood that is completely different from the one he used to run 18 years ago, but while dealing with his own deep and damaging character flaws.
While the first season of BoJack Horseman started off shaky, the show came into its own in the second season and has been a hit with both fans and critics since then. The most recent season is sitting at a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes and won the Critics’ Choice Television Awards for best animated series.
BoJack Horseman features the voice of Will Arnett as the titular BoJack, Amy Sedaris as his feline agent, Carolyn, Aaron Paul as his human sidekick, Todd, along with the talents of Alison Brie and Paul F. Tomkins
BoJack Horseman season 6 will air in two parts. The first will begin airing on October 25, with the the final run launching January 31, 2020
