This morning 20th Century Fox released the final trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse which surprised fans with a glimpse at Wolverine’s cameo!
The trailer opens at Xavier’s school where he tries to convince Raven that the world is better. Always the realist, Raven warns Xavier that it doesn’t mean there’s peace.
Watch the final trailer below:
Next we see the creation of Apocalypse and the explanation that he was worshiped as a god and has been stealing mutants powers to get even stronger. Apocalypse has always had four followers, like the Four Horseman. In this case, it’s Magneto, Storm, Angel, and Psylocke.
Like every other villain, Apocalypse wants to destroy the world and rebuild a better one. The X-Men know that they need to stop him, but don’t have the man power to do it. Raven has to train some of the students to help out in the war against Apocalypse. A little help from old friends like Wolverine doesn’t hurt either.
Though action packed, the trailer does offer some humor to lighten the mood. Hopefully there will be more humor involved in the movie as well. If there’s one thing that can really ruin a good superhero movie, it’s making it too dark. While we always enjoy seeing the familiar faces like Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, and Nicholas Hoult. I’m most excited to see new-comers like Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, and Olivia Munn.
In case you missed Wolverine in the last few moments of the trailer, Hugh Jackman shared it on Twitter for fans:

The synopsis for X-Men: Apocalypse reads:
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
