Wonder Woman 3 is officially a go at Warner Brothers— and Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins are already on board to return for the threequel!
Fans who can’t get enough of Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins’ take on Diana Prince won’t be left wanting for more.
On Sunday (December 27), Warner Bros., announce that it has officially fast-tracked development on Wonder Woman 3. The third installment of the hit superhero franchise will once again find Patty Jenkins returning to write and direct, while franchise star Gal Gadot has once again signed on to star as the titular superhero.
News of Warner Bros.’ plans to fast-track the third movie comes as the franchise’s highly anticipated sequel, Wonder Woman 1984, made a huge splash over the holiday season at HBO Max.

The sequel, which was originally intended for theatrical release, was sent straight to streaming on Christmas Day in regions where movie theaters continue to remain closed as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Even so, the sequel still won big at the box office in areas where theaters are now open, raking in an estimated $36.1 million globally from 42 markets in release this weekend (including U.S. and Canada). Internationally, the film grossed $68.3 million total, garnered $85 million worldwide overall.
Over at HBO Max, the streamer reports that nearly half of its platform retail subscribers tuned in to Wonder Woman 1984 within the first 24 hours of the film going live.
With impressive weekend numbers like that, it’s not surprising to find that Warner Bros., is looking to recreate that same magic sooner rather than later with Wonder Woman 3.
