Great news, Harry Potter fans! J.K. Rowling has revealed that movie trailers for Fantastic Beasts will be released prior to the film’s theatrical debut.
Fans who are clamoring for the Wizarding World spinoff series can rest easy. J.K. Rowling made the big announcement on Twitter, where she’s dropped lots of interesting tidbits over the past year:
Just had a worried person ask me whether there really wouldn't be trailers for #FantasticBeasts! I was (and am) JK. There will be trailers x

We’re feeling simultaneously relieved and excited right now!
For those who don’t know, movie trailers are two minute (ish) previews of films which typically include clips from the film they are promoting. Occasionally they feature samples from the movie’s score. If Fantastic Beasts has a movie score (JKR has yet to confirm), it’s possible there will be samples in these just-announced trailers.
Trailers were created for each movie in the Harry Potter series. They included clips of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter characters like Harry, Snape, Voldemort, Ginny, Ron, Hermione, etc etc.
At this time we don’t know if there will be movie posters for Fantastic Beasts. I’m currently investigating — stay tuned for the answer.

Fantastic Beasts opens in theaters next November and stars Eddie Redmayne. We expect to see him in the trailer.
