The Shadowhuntners fans are driving attention to the recently canceled series. And decision makers are taking notice.

The latest update in the #SaveShadowhunters campaign is the most pormising fans have heard. According to an interview with Deadline, producer Martin Moszkowicz confirms that discussions are ongoing.

This includes talks between Constantin Film, who wishes to stay on with the series, and other partners (both new and old). Interest from one partner is great, however, the series does require support from both the U.S. and abroad.

Moszkowicz revealed that Constantin Film has received “thousands of emails, tweets, and Facebook messages.” No doubt those efforts are fueled in large part by the extraordinary #SaveShadowhunters movement.

He goes on to say that the production company is “amazed by the dedication and persistence of the incredible fandom of Shadowhunters and the #SaveShadowhunters campaign. We are in ongoing discussions with the network and Netflix to how we can continue to bring Cassandra Claire’s vision to television.”

From billboards in Times Square to subway stops on Korea to planes flying over Netflix, there is no limit to what this fandom will continue to do to drive awareness to their passion and love for the series.

In addition to the flashier efforts, the fans have also raised a considerable about of money for charitable causes in the name of saving the show. Practicing what the show portrays every week, the fans are aiding those who need help the most, even as they struggle with their own disappointment.

While this is not a guarantee that the series will return for a fourth season, it is a nice reminder that the efforts of this fan base are not going unnoticed.

As it stands, the remainder of season 3 will air in 2019 and will include an additional two-hour finale that the writers and crew are hard at work preparing.

Shadowhunters season 3 will return to Freeform in 2019.
