Looks like Marvel fans can look forward to seeing the Guardians of the Galaxy pop up sometime during Thor: Love and Thunder.

Confirmation of the Guardians squad appearing in the highly anticipated fourth installment of Marvel’s Thor franchise comes straight from actor Vin Diesel.

While on the press tour circuit in promotion for his new move, Bloodshot, the Groot voice actor confirmed to ComicBook.com that the Guardians of the Galaxy would in fact be featured in Thor: Love and Thunder.

“I am waiting and excited for my friend James Gunn to knock this next one out of the park,” said Diesel of Vol. 3. “Thor will also, the director talked to me about Thor, will incorporate some of the Guardians of the Galaxy, which will be very interesting– nobody knows so maybe I shouldn’t have said anything.”

While Diesel hints toward the end of his answer that the Guardians’ roles in the fourth Thor haven’t quite been confirmed, we’re sure news of their involvement won’t come as a shock to Marvel fans.

After all, the last time we saw Star-Lord, Drax, Groot, and Rocket at the tail end of Avengers: Endgame, the foursome, along with Thor, were gearing up to set out in search of Gamorah.

To that extent, it makes sense that Academy Award winner Taika Waititi (who’s back to write and direct the Thor: Ragnarok follow up film) is looking to incorporate the Guardians of the Galaxy in some capacity or another when it comes to Thor: Love and Thunder.

With that in mind, we’ll be looking forward to seeing how Waititi incorporates them into the story!

Thor: Love and Thunder hits theater next year on November 5, 2021.
