A mysterious viral website may be hinting at a coming announcement of the next installment in the Resident Evil franchise.
Several photos and videos appear on the website nohopeleft.com including a prominent biohazard symbol that could be referencing the Japanese title of the series, Biohazard.
After a little bit of digging, gaming site The Sixth Axis has discovered that Resident Evil publisher Capcom is responsible for at least one of the billboards that appears on the website, pictured below.
While there have been false alarms at a pending Resident Evil 6 in the past including a fake teaser trailer at TGS, and this could all be speculation, the fact that Capcom is behind at least one, and most likely all of the billboards lends credence to this theory.
The website has a countdown to January 19 so hopefully we should know more very soon.
Capcom already has two games in the franchise releasing this year. Resident Evil Revelations for the Nintendo 3DS is scheduled for release February 7 and Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC is scheduled for March 23.
