Those itching to check out Venom: Let There Be Carnage in theaters will have to wait longer to do so.
Sony Pictures has opted to push the theatrical release back of Venom:Let There Be Carnage yet again.
According to Variety, the highly anticipated sequel is now set to hit theaters on October 15.
The movie’s new release date pushes it back a couple of weeks from it’s slated September 24 release date, although this isn’t the first time that Venom: Let There Be Carnage has been delayed.
Originally, the sequel was meant to hit theaters in October 2020, but as with many planned blockbusters of the last year, it was pushed back as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The movie’s most recent release date push back comes as cases of the delta variant continue to rise in the United States.
It also comes on the heels of Sony releasing a brand new trailer for the sequel earlier this month on August 2, which offers fans a fantastic look at Woody Harrelson’s villainous Carnage.
