The Uncharted movie adaptation of the action video game series just can’t seem to catch a break, and fans are starting to notice.
Travis Knight, the sixth director for the video game adaptation of the Uncharted series, is no longer attached to the project.
Due to apparent conflicts with the filming of the next Spider-Man film, Knight left the project so that star Tom Holland could play the role of Nathan Drake. Joining Holland in the adaptation is Mark Wahlberg, who will portray Drake’s mentor and father figure, Victor “Sully” Sullivan.
Even though the Uncharted movie is seeing yet another setback, Sony is reportedly still interested in producing the film adaptation, should it ever be filmed.
Jaded, and at times no longer interested in an Uncharted movie, fans took to Twitter to speak their thoughts about the lack of the film’s director for the sixth time over.

Time to scratch another one on the wall! Travis Knight is the SIXTH director to move from #Uncharted… Pretty impressive this film has nearly 1 director for each year of the decade they've been trying to make it. https://t.co/ym3kwU2Ed1

Fans are left wondering whether or not the Uncharted movie will ever get filmed. It may be time to recast the role of Nathan Drake, suggest fans.
If they slow down the #Uncharted movie any further, Tom Holland will be Nathan Drake's age in Drake's Fortune. pic.twitter.com/VHvolH2ruU

Please Sony, you need to start over, from scratch. You are loyal to Tom Holland and he is wonderful actor, but he is not the Nathan Drake that this film needs. You keep losing directors, could it be they know what an audience is expecting too? You are setting your film up to fail https://t.co/Du4kTigQQb

idk about the story of #Uncharted game but i know the movie has had trouble getting to screen, perhaps it's time to just move on from whoever was/is attached to it at this time – and go a different direction, cast – perhaps with a new slate, may actually get filmed

While the film had an expected release date of December 2020, it is unlikely that the latest setback will allow the production team to hit that deadline.
