A new report suggests that The Hulk will be in Thor: Ragnarok, fighting alongside Thor and Lady Sif.
With Loki running Asgard in disguise as Odin, we’ll be curious to see how Asgard is holding up, but a new report from JoBlo suggests that Thor will be joined by The Hulk in the upcoming Thor threequel.
Apparently the film will mainly take place on a “distant planet” that won’t even be near Asgard or Earth, so this could open the storylines up to Planet Hulk’s comic book story. Thor the Hulk together will be an interesting combo, and it’ll be great to have Loki back in the films since it’ll be a few years since he’s been involved by the time Ragnarok hits theaters.
Taika Waititi recently signed on to direct Thor 3, which is certainly a unique choice considering Waititi isn’t a name we’d been hearing about. But, Marvel is known for choosing talented directors, and it’s exciting to learn that the film’s production is moving forward.
Waititi is a veteran TV director, having directed episodes from the previously mentioned Flight of the Conchords, The Inbetweeners, and more recently What We Do in the Shadows.
Thor: Ragnarok’s plot is still a bit of a mystery, considering we don’t know where all the Avengers will be once the film hits theaters, but the story is reportedly about a world-ending event that will heavily involve Thor’s home of Asgard.
What’s more interesting is that this will be the final film before Avengers: Infinity War Part 1, which means it should have to include quite a bit of the overall story as we head into the final two Avengers’ films.
Thor: Ragnarok will be released in theaters on November 3, 2017.
