The Muppets director James Bobin has boarded the thriller Agent Zigzag for New Line and Playtone Pictures.
As Variety reports, Agent Zigzag is an adaptation of a novel by Ben McIntyre:
The book revolves around the life story of Eddie Chapman, a professional criminal who became a highly effective double agent during WWII. He won the trust of German intelligence services even as he reported back to the spymasters of MI5.
Tom Hanks, of all people, is set to produce the film through Playtone Pictures. It’s unclear when the film will go into production however, given Bobin’s commitment to helm The Muppets sequel. It’s also unclear how or if this will affect Bobin’s rumored involvement in the Confederacy of Dunces adaptation. Are you interested in seeing this?
