Judging by the title of this episode, “Annette Castellano is My Nemesis,” we’re guessing Mindy’s first meeting with Danny’s mom doesn’t go well. The Mindy Project airs tonight at 9:30 p.m. on Fox.
The season premiere was great – but, aside from the stripteases, it’s time for the show to explore more serious topics like, you know, Morgan and Tamra’s budding relationship.
How will Rhea Perlman’s Annette Castellano become Mindy Lahiri’s nemesis? That remains to be seen. But, judging what we know about these characters and the Castellano family, we can’t imagine Mindy doesn’t try to impress her, and Annette rebuffs her.
Danny’s brother Richie (Max Minghella) will also be guest star in tonight’s episode. Richie’s character was last on in The Mindy Project season 2, episode 21, “The Girl Next Door,” when he and boyfriend Ramon were over Danny’s apartment while Danny fidgeted over wanting Mindy back. We’re interested to see how he responds to the news that they’re finally together officially.
In the photos below, we can infer a few things: we’ll be revisiting Danny’s childhood bedroom, Annette hurts herself somehow (or does Mindy have a hand in it?) and, this is complete guesswork, Morgan adopts a dog for Tamra.
The official synopsis for ‘Annette Castellano is My Nemesis’:

Meanwhile, Morgan tries to stand up for himself in his relationship with Tamra (Xosha Roquemore) in the all-new “Annette Castellano Is My Nemesis” episode of The Mindy Project airing Tuesday, Sept. 23”
