The wait for The Living is almost over. We’ve got your exclusive first-look at the release date, synopsis, and cover for the final book in Isaac Marion’s Warm Bodies series!

Ever since Isaac Marion made the announcement that he’d be publishing The Living independently, we’ve been on pins and needles just waiting for more information about this highly anticipated novel.

That’s why we’re so happy to be able to share the gorgeous new cover and intriguing synopsis with you. Not only that, but we’re excited to announce that The Living will be released on….

(Drumroll, please!)

November 13, 2018!

That’s right! The final novel in the Warm Bodies series will be making its way into our hands in just over a month!

That should give you just enough time to re-read The Burning World (or, if you’re lucky enough to be a speedy reader, Warm Bodies and The New Hunger as well) and re-immerse yourself into the decadent and nuanced world that R, Julie, and friends are working tirelessly to exhume.

If the cover for The Living is any indication, our team has their work cut out for them. See for yourself and check out the cover below!

That cover is stunning, isn’t it? While the world looks to be in disarray and there’s chaos in the streets, Julie and R’s clasped hands and the way the soft, warm light reflects off of the wreckage instills a sense of calm and hope.

R’s looping handwriting over his and Julie’s silhouettes has a similar effect. Although it’s difficult to make out the passage in its entirety, we’re pretty sure it’s a few lines from The New Hunger: “Life is only fair for the Dead, who get what they want because they want nothing. Julie wants everything, no matter how much it costs, and this is why she will change the world.”

It’s the perfect passage to include on the cover because, while the world may be literally burning, nothing burns quite as intensely or brightly as Julie’s hope and determination for a new world. A new world filled with the living.

God, we can’t wait to crack this novel open and read how the Warm Bodies series ends. Until then, the official synopsis for The Living will just have to tide us all over for the time being:

The New York Times bestselling Warm Bodies Series has captivated readers in twenty-five languages, inspiring a major film and transcending the zombie genre to become something “poetic” (Library Journal) “highly original” (Seattle Times) and “ultimately moving” (Time Out London). Now the story of a dead man’s search for life reaches its conclusion on a scale both epic and intimate.

Before he was a flesh-eating corpse, R was something worse. He remembers it all now, a life of greed and apathy more destructive than any virus, and he sees only one path to redemption: he must fight the forces he helped create. But what can R, Julie, and their tiny gang of fugitives do against the creeping might of the Axiom Group, the bizarre undead corporation that’s devouring what’s left of America?

It’s time for a road trip.

No more flyover country. This time they’ll face the madness on the ground, racing their RV across the wastelands as tensions rise and bonds unravel—because R isn’t the only one hiding painful secrets. Everyone is on their own desperate search: for a kidnapped daughter, a suicidal mother, and an abused little boy with a gift that could save humanity…if humanity can convince him it’s worth saving.

All roads lead home, to a final confrontation with the plague and its shareholders. But this is a monster that guns can’t kill. A battle only one weapon can win…

The Living is now available for pre-order and will be sold exclusively through IsaacMarion.com. Why? Because, frankly, major retailers (such as Amazon or Barnes & Noble) eat up quite a bit of what readers pay for books and this is the only way Isaac Marion can stay in business as an author.

But this also means that he can make this final book something really special and personal. Not only will all physical copies of The Living be signed by Isaac Marion, but, when you pre-order, you’ll automatically get an instant download of last year’s Exed World Almanac, and you will receive a packet of brand new bonus materials on release day.

This final book in the Warm Bodies saga is really one “for the fans,” so what better way to send it out in style than by personalizing each and every copy?
