Readers of The Hunger Games have reached new heights recently (I feel like I see people reading them everywhere I go), and proof comes from USA Today’s bestselling books list!
Interestingly, the e-book version is now outselling its paperback sister.
For the second consecutive week, The Hunger Games, the first book in Suzanne Collins’ dystopian trilogy for teens, is No. 1 on USA TODAY’s Best-Selling Books list. But unlike last week, the e-book is now outselling the paperback.
In fact, it’s one of 42 titles in the top 50 in which the digital version outsold print — after a Christmas when millions of new e-readers were unwrapped. Collins’ sequels, Catching Fire and Mockingjay, are also in the top 5 as e-books. (Overall, e-books account for about 20% of the book market.)
We imagine that The Hunger Games trilogy will continue to stay high on the bestseller list as we approach the film’s release!
