A new preview and stills predict that Wolowitz may be taking on more than he can handle in The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 3.
Howard will have the opportunity of a lifetime in The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 3 – but he may not be up to the task. The episode, titled “The First Pitch Insufficiency,” looks like it will focus on Howard attempting to figure out how to throw a baseball before he humiliates himself in front of 30,000 people.
The preview for “The First Pitch Insufficiency” doesn’t fill us with hope on that score.
Given that Howard is possibly even less athletic than Sheldon, it’s hard to imagine how he’ll manage to toss that ball gracefully. (Or even get to the pitcher’s mound without looking like an idiot.) But hey, Howard has certainly surprised us before!
(Remember that time he went to space and didn’t die?)
Still photos from The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 3 offer a look at Howard’s, uh, training regimen for his big moment, and hint at what the rest of the geeky gang will be up to next week.
But regardless of what happens to Howard, it’s certainly nice to see the group out in the sun for a little while. We just hope Sheldon doesn’t spontaneously combust or something.
The official synopsis for “The First Pitch Insufficiency” explains why Howard has been given this momentous responsibility.
“Wolowitz is nervous after NASA asks him to throw out the first pitch at a Los Angeles Angels game,” CBS teases. “Also, Leonard and Penny try to prove Sheldon wrong after he says that he and Amy are a ‘superior couple.'”
Oh yeah guys, argue with Sheldon when he says something positive about his relationship with Amy. That sounds like a great idea.
The Big Bang Theory season 8, episode 3, “The First Pitch Insufficiency,” will air on Monday, Sept. 29 at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.
