I look forward to seeing what other scenes may be revealed in upcoming TV spots. It seems like Warner Bros. is just starting to kick their promotion into high gear as the film is now under two months away!
Although the TV spot didn’t offer up any new looks at Joker, Jared Leto is offering up some new details. In a recent interview with Total Film magazine Suicide Squad star discussed working on his character with director David Ayer: “I knew I was going to have to dive deep and go to a place I had never gone before. We sat outside his house and talked and it was clear he wanted to make something really different.”
It seems like playing a totally new Joker is what drew Leto the role: “He wanted to break some rules, and that’s very compelling. I got the sense he was on a mission. This wasn’t just a movie for him. He had a lot of passion and ideas. He was also very decisive, which is needed when you’re walking upon trepidatious ground. His ideas and energy were infectious, and I knew I had to be a part of the adventure.”
