On tonight’s Scandal, Mellie will get wrapped up in trouble of her own and Lisa Kudrow will start a new recurring role as a Democratic congresswoman.

The synopsis for Scandal season 3, episode 4 titled “Say Hello to My Little Friend” reads, “With Pope & Associates still struggling to find clients, the team decides to take on a philandering senator who enjoys taking photos of his not so public areas. Meanwhile, Mellie gets involved in her own scandal with Democratic Congresswoman Josephine Marcus.”

Photos from tonight’s episode of Scandal season 3 depict Olivia, Quinn, Huck, and Abby amongst others.

Although Kudrow’s character is missing from the photos, you can see her in this clip from the episode in which she’s talking on a political television show and throwing shade at Fitz who she says needs to “tame his cobra.”

Kudrow will have a role that lasts for several episodes in Scandal, but until tonight we don’t know exactly how she’ll be involved with the show. All we know is that she’ll be involved in Mellie’s scandal.

In a second clip from tonight’s episode we see Olivia decide to take on a sexting congressman. She and her team are hesitant to work with him because his case (one involving sending nude photos to a woman who ends up dead) is a pretty trashy situation. However, she’s convinced to take the job after realizing it’ll pay a pretty penny.
