The Riverdale family tragically lost a member with the death of Luke Perry.
Luke Perry, who portrayed Fred Andrews on Riverdale, passed away on Monday, March 4 following a stroke three days prior. The actor was 52.
EW is reporting that Riverdale, which is currently filming its third season in Vancouver, has halted production for the day to grieve the loss of their friend and colleague. We don’t yet know how this loss will effect the rest of the season.
Luke Perry was also known for his starring role in Beverly Hills, 90210, among many other things. He was always a pleasure to talk to and it was clear that he was loved by every member of the Riverdale cast and crew. Our thoughts are with them, along with Perry’s family during this difficult time.
Here are some tributes from the cast and creatives of the show.

Luke made people feel safe and valued and welcome. Luke made us laugh. He certainly made me laugh. He was gracious, kind; a gentleman. But most of all he was a fine, fine father and my friend. Thank you, Luke. We miss you. Stay close.🙏🏼 🧡💛❤ pic.twitter.com/znA6DBO1Lh
