There are a lot of new faces this season on Quantico, so we figured you might need a cheat sheet.
We may not know anything about long these characters will be around (this is Quantico after all), but it’s always a good idea to try and keep up with the growing list of characters. Surely you remember Alex and Ryan and Shelby and Caleb and Reyna and Nimah and Miranda, but there’s a whole new class of faces to learn, and time is of the essence.
Here’s what we know so far, and what we’ve been able to see from the few moments they’ve had on screen. Hopefully we will know each of them pretty well by the time season 2 is done. And we’re sure more than one of them will probably be evil, it’s just how these things work.
‘Quantico’ season 2’s New Class
Harry Doyle – played by Russell Tovey
Official description:“A mischievous gadabout. Part Thomas Crown, part grown-up Artful Dodger, the mysterious Harry can be anything to anybody – and is just as likely to seduce your husband as he is to pick his pocket when it’s over.”
What we’ve seen: He’s quite the accomplished pick pocket, as we watched him rob someone blind while making out with him. That’s a useful, if not downright mean-spirited, skill. Whether gay or bi, we don’t know, but he definitely has no issues with a hot guy make out sesh. Hopefully he doesn’t end up being evil. That would suck.
Dayana Mampasi played by Pearl Thusi
Official description: “A driven, disciplined, type-A lawyer. After graduating top of her class at Harvard, she worked at an NGO for two years before joining her parents’ Boston firm. But though she seems to have it all, Dayana struggles to fit in.”
What we’ve seen: As we haven’t seen much of Pearl’s character so far, there’s not a lot to go by. She is on a squad that Alex hasn’t talked to much, but as the two are roommates, we’re sure they will get to know each other fairly well before all is said and done.
Owen Hall played by Blair Underwood
Official description: “ A charming, direct, and intelligent CIA officer that every fledgling operative wishes he or she could learn from.”
What we’ve seen: Well, we all know how the last official supervising agent thing panned out. Hopefully this guy is a step up from Liam though. We learned at the end of the Quantico season 2 premiere that Lydia Bates is his daughter. The details of exactly what that relationship is will undoubtedly be revealed very, very soon.
Lydia Bates played by Tracy Ifeachor
Official description:“ A highly accomplished actuary with a few twists up her sleeve.”
What we’ve seen: Twist #1: She fronted as a newbie to ferret out who would play the hero. Enter Alex Parrish. The two are definitely bound to keep clashing as the season goes on. Twist #2: She’s Owen Hall’s daughter? What will this mean for things going forward?
Léon Velez played by Aarón Díaz
Official description:“A thrill-seeking photojournalist with no home or life outside his backpack.”
What we’ve seen: We originally thought maybe he would be someone Alex recruited to help with a case, but now we know that he’s been drawn in by the CIA as well. There’s definitely more to this guy than photojournalism, especially with how quickly he saw through Ryan and Alex’s “we’re soooo not dating” facade.
Sebastian Chen played by David Lim
Official description: “A focused and confident future agent.”
What we’ve seen: Could they be any more vague? There is definitely something up with this guy, and hopefully in just a few more episodes, we’ll learn exactly what that something is.
Jeremy Miller played by David Call
Official description: Ummm… there isn’t one?
What we’ve seen: This is a character we knew basically nothing about before the season started, and he appears to be (maybe?) dead after the premiere has ended. He was an author of a spy thriller series, and seemed to have some insight into how things worked at the CIA. We saw him working with the terrorist organization that bombed NYC in the season 2 premiere, and that he didn’t jump out of the plane to fulfill his test to enter The Farm, so will we see more of him?
