Meg Cabot, Renee Ahdieh, and Daniel Jose Older are among the many authors sharing quirky stories in Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View.
The new anthology celebrates the 40th anniversary of A New Hope, and gathers together 40 authors from across fantasy and sci-fi to tell brand new stories from the galaxy far, far, away.
You may know all seven (or eight, if Rogue One counts) Star Wars movies by heart, but Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View offers a new slant on the classic saga. This time, it’s the background characters who take center stage, from those hapless, droid-seeking stormtroopers to the brave X-Wing pilots who risked their lives for the freedom of the galaxy.
The full list of authors contributing to Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View has not yet been released, but there are big names in the current lineup.
The diverse selection includes established Star Wars authors like Chuck Wendig, EK Johnston, and Gary Whitta, as well as popular Young Adult names like Rae Carson, Renee Ahdieh, Meg Cabot, and Daniel Jose Older. Nnedi Okorafor, Ken Liu, and Mur Lafferty, and others will represent the realms of sci-fi and fantasy.
All proceeds from Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View will be donated to First Book, which provides literacy essentials to children in need.
Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View lands in bookstores in October 2017.
