The popular series Percy Jackson and the Olympians, penned by author Rick Riordan, will be getting a new set of covers, to be unveiled next week.
The current covers of the series, created by artist John Rocco, have been in use for nearly 10 years. A little face lift is never a bad thing, and this is certainly true when Rocco is the one to have created the updated covers for the beloved series.
These new covers will be for the paperback editions, and will begin debuting next week, starting on February 17. According to the press release,”[Fans will] find out that when these new paperback books are lined up side by side by side, they will reveal one amazing panoramic mural.”
Fans of the series are understandably worried that the new book covers won’t live up to their expectations. However, if the knowledge that the same artist has designed the new covers doesn’t quash your fears, perhaps Rick Riordan’s approval will.
I think getting a fresh wardrobe change every decade is not unreasonable. :D Plus the news ones are by John Rocco, the same artist.

I was skeptical too. Then I saw John's new covers, and I said, "WOW!" Hopefully you guys like them too. Will be revealed next week on FB.

All of the covers will be revealed on the official Percy Jackson Facebook page next week, beginning on Monday, with one cover revealed each day. Below, you can see a tease of the first cover. We can’t make out much, but knowing the styling of Rocco’s art, along with what little bit of color is in the picture below, we’re sure these covers are going to be stunning.
As soon as the new covers go up next week, we’ll be sure to post them, along with our thoughts! They’ll be available for purchase sometime early this summer.
