Outlander has mostly been focused on Claire’s interactions with the men of Clan McKenzie. Tonight that changes.
There are three women who will be at the forefront of tonight’s episode featuring the Twitter hashtag #OutlanderTrial if you want to follow along tonight: Claire, Geillis, and Laoghaire.
Thanks to Laoghaire McKenzie (Nell Hudson) setting up Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe), Claire is taken captive along with Geillis Duncan (Lotte Verbeek). The two women are accused of witchcraft. Their situation is dire. Their only likely rescuers are Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Dougal (Graham McTavish), and both of them are on the road with no knowledge of what has befallen the women they love.
How will Geillis react to Claire's confession? Find out tomorrow at 9p on @Starz_Channel. #OutlanderTrial pic.twitter.com/QBxIX7sQod

One thing is for sure, Claire and Geillis are not going to go down without a fight. Jamie and Dougal might not be there, but these women will do everything in their power to defend themselves.
Once they do free themselves (let’s face it, if they didn’t we wouldn’t have the rest of the season), Laoghaire better watch her back. Claire may have slapped Laoghaire for throwing herself at Jamie, but that’s going to be nothing compared to what Claire may do to her for getting her imprisoned and almost killed.
On top of that, Geillis doesn’t have Claire’s forgiving nature. She killed her husband to get what she wanted. She’s not going to take getting thrown in jail by Colum and/or Laoghaire lightly. The two of them are going to have to watch their backs for the rest of their lives once Geillis is out.
Outlander airs tonight on Starz at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT.
