Netflix unveils trailer for new romcom, ‘Operation Christmas Drop’

Netflix is kicking off the holiday season early with Operation Christmas Drop— check out the trailer for the streamer’s newest holiday romcom below!

The holidays just wouldn’t feel the same without a new romcom or two from Netflix. This year, the streamer is kicking off its yuletide themed slate with Operation Christmas Drop, a brand new original movie set to premiere in early November.

The movie finds Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) starring as Erica Miller— a congressional aide who’s eyeing a huge promotion that’s dangling like a carrot in front of her eyes.

In an effort to do everything in her power to get the promotion in question, Erica finds herself forgoing a family Christmas to travel across the Pacific Ocean at her boss’ behest.

Her mission? To give her boss a reason to defund a beachside Air Force Base that partakes in the yearly, decades old tradition known as Operation: Christmas Drop.

It’ll be easier said than done though— especially after Erica finds herself chasing with her guide, Captain Andrew Jantz (The Hunger Games), who also happens to be incredibly invested in the project she’s there to defund.

Operation Christmas Drop isn’t the only new Christmas movie coming down the pipeline this year at Netflix.

The streamer has packed the holiday season with a slew of new titles set to premiere over the course of November and December. Netflix’s Christmas movie lineup includes some new titles, in addition to a few notable sequels for movies such as the family adventure feature, The Christmas Chronicles (November 25), as well as the Vanessa Hudgens led romantic comedy, The Princess Switch (November 19).

Operation Christmas Drop debuts via Netflix on November 5.
