Once Upon a Time hits the 100 episode milestone this spring and a couple of very special guests are heading to Storybrooke to celebrate.
Update (November 4): Announced today by ET, Emily Caulfield will return to Once Upon a Time for episode 100. Followers of the show will remember Caulfield’s Blind Witch from season 1 as the woman who used her house made of gingerbread and candy to lure children in for a snack. Hansel and Gretel made their way into her grasp, but they bested the witch locking her in her own oven on a tray of vegetables.
Sidney Glass will also peer through the mirror this winter as Giancarlo Esposito returns as the Magic Mirror. Who knows where Sidney ended up after the Snow Queen sent him on his merry way. These two characters join Cora and Peter Pan in the packed ensemble for the celebration of episode 100 arriving next year!
Original Story (November 3): It looks like episode 100 of Once Upon a Time is going to haunt a few of Storybrooke’s residents. Both Robbie Kay and Barbara Hershey will return to reprise their roles as Peter Pan and Cora respectively. But wait, they’re both dead!
That may be true, but we think there is a connection between this exciting news and another casting announcement floating around the Once Upon a Time universe. We teased in our Hades speculation post that Emma’s darkness might overpower her so greatly that a hero must visit the underworld to reclaim the soul of a loved one. What if Cora and Pan are hanging around in the Underworld with our Distinguished Gentleman figure? Hopefully this figure will have blue flames for hair.
Check out more on our theory here: Is Hades coming to Once Upon a Time season 5?
Until then, however, another exciting reunion is fast approaching. In two weeks Ruby and Mulan will return to Once Upon a Time for a two-hour adventure with Merida. We will be heading back to DunBroch to learn about the events that led to King Fergus’ death and how Mulan and Ruby found a way to help Merida after that time.
Watch Once Upon a Time season 5, episode 7, “Nimue,” Sunday at November 8 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
