Four new Pokémon and several NPCs (non playable characters) have been revealed in a CoroCoro leak shortly after E3 week, including the first glimpse of a gym leader and a new Fairy type!
It seems as though the Pokémon franchise is on fire as of late. New Pokémon from the sixth generation are coming in waves!
Check out the latest addition to Gen. VI of Pokémon X and Y!
New Pokémon:
Shishiko
Shishiko is a hot blooded Fire/Normal type Pokémon and can learn the move War Cry, which lowers an opponents attack.
Furabebe
Furabebe is one of the new Fairy-type Pokémon and can learn the move Fairy Wind. Details about the effect of Fairy Wind are unknown.
Kofukimushi and Kofūrai
Kofukimushi and Kofūrai are the pre-evolutions of Vivillion. One of these Pokémon names will translate to “Spewpa” in English, although it’s not known which. Kofukimushi will be a bug type and evolves into Kofūrai, then Vivillon.
New NPCs:
Viola
Viola is the first gym leader in Hakudan City, and a bug type leader. This will mark the first time a bug type gym leader has ever been the first leader of a game. Her gym will include the giant spider web design seen in the Pokémon X and Y trailer.
Pansy
Pansy is Viola’s older sister and a journalist from Lumiose City. She has a Gogoat and Helioptile in her party and will make an appearance in the anime on July 19. Nothing is known about her in-game or anime storyline beyond this.
Tieruno, Toroba, and Sana will all be the protagonists’ friends in Asame town.
Other information:
– The first city of the game will be Asame Town.
– The player’s home will have a Rhyhorn in the front garden.
Thanks to Bulbanews for the magazine scans.
It should be noted that the Pokémon names are all translated from Japanese, and will eventually have English names also.
