A new Dawn of the Planet of the Apes trailer has just landed online!
Dawn of the Planet of the apes will swing into theaters on July 11, and with each new piece of promotion our excitement only gets higher.
The sequel to the 2011 released Rise of the Planet of the Apes stars Andy Serkis as Caesar as well as Gary Goldman, Keri Russell, Jason Clarke, Judy Greer, and more.
The first trailer was released back in December and featured a very fierce Caesar. He’s perhaps even more fierce in this one.
The new Dawn of the Planet of the Apes trailer was released on the 20th Century Fox YouTube account. Check it out:
The trailer shows that attempts will be made by both the human and apes species, but not all of either species will want to live happily together. Eventually things get out of hand, and war begins.
As we first saw in some stills released back in April, the apes will be wielding guns, and that gave us an idea of what to expect. The level of destruction and chaos that was shown at the end of Rise of the Planet of the Apes was a tease, and if the apes are going to have guns in Dawn, the level of chaos that will be in the film will be so much more than we imagined.
Official synopsis:
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
