Original Story (December 2018): Netflix is officially returning to the world of Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal with The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. The new series finds the world of Thra in mortal peril as The Crystal of Truth — a source of untold power — is damaged and corrupted by the evil Skeksis, causing a sickness to spread across the land.

When three Gelfling uncover the horrific truth behind the power of the Skeksis, an adventure unfolds as the fires of rebellion are lit and an epic battle for the planet begins.

Other notable stars set to voice Gelfling characters include Caitriona Balfe (Outlander), Helena Bonham-Carter (Harry Potter), Harris Dickinson (Maleficent 2), Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones), Eddie Izzard (Ocean’s 13), Theo James (Divergent), Toby Jones (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), Shazad Latif (Star Trek: Discovery), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Beauty and the Beast), Mark Strong (Kingsman), and Alicia Vikander (Tomb Raider).
