CBS has decided to add a host to the Grammys this year – the first time since 2005 – and that person will be LL Cool J, it was announced this morning.
People reports:
The rapper, who turned 44 this week, has hosted the live Grammy nominations concert show each year since 2008. This is his first time taking the reins of the award show itself.
“I’m thrilled to be part of Music’s Biggest Night,” he said in a statement. “I will always have fond memories of my first Grammy Awards and to now be hosting the Grammy show, in the company of so many other incredible artists, is a dream.”
Do you think LL Cool J will be a good host, or is he not necessary? Last week we learned that the Foo Fighters, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Clarkson, and Bruno Mars were set to perform during the show (with more to be announced).
