Is Dan Radcliffe’s presence in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade not good enough for you?
How about a Lady Gaga special event on ABC the same day?
Gaga will premiere the aptly titled “A Very Gaga Thanksgiving” on ABC. The 90-minute Thanksgiving day special was conceived and directed by the singer and promises to offer a glimpse into her private life.
She will perform eight songs in front of a small audience of close friends and family. Beside the hits, Gaga will perform “The Lady Is a Tramp” with Tony Bennett, “Marry the Night,” “You and I,” “The Edge of Glory” and the holiday classic “White Christmas.”
Katie Couric will sit down with the singer at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Manhattan, Gaga’s alma mater, for a revealing one-on-one conversation about her life and inspirations behind her hits. Gaga also got into the holiday spirit by recruiting chef Art Smith to help her prepare a Thanksgiving dinner of deep-fried turkey … and waffles.
“We all know Lady Gaga is a phenomenon,” Couric said in a statement. “This is a chance to see more of who she is beneath the wild costumes and staged musical numbers …. Lady Gaga as a high school student still bruised by being excluded from the party, Lady Gaga as a devoted daughter and caring sister, Lady Gaga as a 25-year-old woman embracing fame and fortune that seemed to come overnight. She will impress you, delight you and surprise you.”
