The new Deadpool 2 trailer is here, and it brought us our first, official introduction to the brand new X-Force.
Deadpool was one of the biggest surprise hits in the superhero movie world back in 2016. Ryan Reynolds brought the character to life in a fun, fresh way, and ever since then, we’ve been so hyped for a sequel. While we’ve seen a few fun teasers for the film, we haven’t gotten one long look at what’s in store story-wise in Deadpool 2.
However, in the trailer that just released, we not only get a glimpse into what mess Deadpool will find himself in this time around, but we also get to officially welcome the X-Force to the big screen. We’ve been speculating that Deadpool 2 was planning to launch the X-Force, but this new trailer has Wade officially introducing the group as a super-duper group made up of tough, morally flexible people who are “young enough to carry their own franchise for 10 to 12 years.”
And while we always knew the X-Force would be utterly badass, seeing these folks in action is just amazing. We were already excited about Deadpool 2, but this new trailer has got us extra pumped. You can watch the red band trailer here:
This time around, Wade will have to stop Cable after he’s kidnapped a child with powers that he doesn’t quite understand yet. In order to stop such a force of nature, he’ll need the help of his X-Force compatriots to stop Cable from killing an innocent kid and helping that kid learn to understand and control his power.
You can see just how Deadpool manages to stop Cable and what the X-Force is in action when Deadpool 2 hits theaters on May 17.
