Adam Sandler’s comedy Western The Ridiculous 6 is putting together a talented cast, which now includes Lost alum Jorge Garcia.
You probably know Jorge Garcia as Hurley from Lost, but the talented comedy actor has been keeping busy since the hit ABC show ended in 2010.
Most recently, Garcia had a supporting role in Kevin Hart’s The Wedding Ringer, and recurs on Hawaii Five-0 (which stars former Lost actor Daniel Dae Kim, and also occasionally features Terry O’Quinn).
And now, you’ll be able to see him starring opposite Taylor Lautner, Rob Schneider, Luke Wilson, Terry Crews and of course Adam Sandler, who headlines the bizarre (but awesome-sounding) Netflix comedy film The Ridiculous 6.
Sandler, who co-wrote the script with Tim Herlihy, will play an orphan who grew up with a Native American tribe, while his five co-stars play his half-brothers. Nick Nolte also stars, as Sandler’s long-lost father.
You can expect to see many more big-name comedy actors appear in the movie, including Steve Buscemi, Dan Aykroyd, Will Forte, Whitney Cummings and Danny Trejo.
The Ridiculous 6 is an obvious reference to The Magnificent Seven (which, incidentally, is being remade with Denzel Washington in the lead role), and will play on traditional Western genre tropes. Hopefully with more success than Lone Ranger and A Million Ways to Die in the West!
The movie will be directed by Frank Coraci, and produced by Happy Madison. Filming is set to start in Santa Fe, New Mexico later this month.
