The untouchable Jennifer Lawrence, star of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2, admits that being rich and famous comes with its caveats.
It’s no secret that Jennifer Lawrence has struggled with the spotlight, although for the most part, her obvious discomfort with fame has only made her more likeable.
The Hunger Games star is very outspoken about Hollywood’s unrealistic beauty standards and institutionalized sexism, and has become the face of “all of us” looking in on what is really a quite bizarre, archaic system.
The parallels to Katniss Everdeen and her astonishment at the inner workings of the Capitol in the Hunger Games series are really quite remarkable.

But speaking about Mockingjay, Part 2 to Entertainment Weekly, the young star admits that fame has actually come with a much higher price than not being able to eat as many hamburgers as you could before.
“The world starts looking at you differently,” she says. “I remember getting really emotional just trying to get a coffee because I felt everywhere I looked, everybody was reacting and it made me feel alienated. All of a sudden, I didn’t feel a part of humanity in this weird way.”
And it’s no secret that Lawrence values her privacy, and reacts in a volatile way when she feels that privacy threatened.
“I was so angry for a long time,” Lawrence reflects, “[but] now I feel like I just don’t have the energy for that anymore. I’ve got such a great life and such a great job. There are some s—ty things that come along with it, but you know, whatever.”
The rest of 2015 will be busy for Jennifer Lawrence, as she’ll be promoting not only Mockingjay, Part 2, but also David O. Russell’s Joy, which hits theaters on Christmas Day.
Then she’s got another stint as Mystique in X-Men: Apocalypse, all the while working with new friend Amy Schumer on a comedy, which they plan to write and star in together.
