Fans of Imagine Dragons are surely excited for the band’s new song on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack, and today we have a preview of the tune.
“Who We Are” by Imagine Dragons is a quickly-paced crowd pleaser with an anthem we can hear District residents chanting during the rebellion. “They say we’re crazy, they say we’re crazy,” the band sings. “It’s who we are, doesn’t matter if you’ve gone too far, doesn’t matter if it’s all okay, doesn’t matter if it’s not okay.” Listen to 90 seconds below:
There are specific references to an attic (the one Katniss, Peeta, and Haymitch meet in during the District 11 rebellion?) and a lyric about “the view from up here” (which makes us think of when Katniss climbs the tree during the Games to get a scope of the land).
Imagine Dragons is best known for their latest album Night Visions with their hit singles Radioactive, It’s Time, and Demons.
Catching Fire’s soundtrack will be released November 19 and the film hits theaters November 22. The performers on the album are a wide range of top artists including Christina Aguilera, Lorde, Ellie Goulding, The National, and The Lumineers.
