If this How I Met Your Mother producer has her way, we’ll see Ted, Robin, Barney, Lily and Marshall reunite for a new chapter of their story. Yay?
Ah, How I Met Your Mother. One of the most interesting and popular comedy series in recent history, with a finale to rival the controversy of Lost.
Considering that everyone and their, um, mother are getting series renewals at the moment, you have to imagine that the producers behind the hit sitcom are at least discussing the possibility of a revival, and indeed, at the Fox Upfronts on Monday, 20th TV chairman Dana Walden admitted that she’d like to make it happen.
“I hope we will have an opportunity to revisit these characters and tell these stories if (the creators and stars) have the desire to do it,” said Walden, as quoted by Deadline. “It’s a beloved show that still continues to be popular all over the world.”

However, as you might imagine, reuniting the high-profile cast and crew 3+ years after the series’ end wouldn’t be an easy feat. Josh Radnor just booked a lead role on in an NBC musical series, and creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are busy on other projects.
Never say never, though. After all, we still need to know how Ted got that damn pineapple.
