For the Honest Trailer guys, reviewing a movie like Jupiter Ascending must be as satisfying as controlling a flock of bees and/or falling in love with a half-albino dog hybrid.
The Wachowskis’ quirky space opera Jupiter Ascending divided audiences when it was first released back in February.
Starring Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum, Sean Bean and Newt Scamander Eddie Redmayne, most people can agree that Jupiter Ascending was, in all its ridiculousness, pretty damn entertaining.

However, it has taken a lot of heat for taking itself so seriously, and for carrying on with some absolutely appalling plotlines (Kunis’ character’s mad pursuit of the wolfman, and her almost-marriage to the son of the woman she is supposedly a reincarnation of).
And in this amazingly on-point Honest Trailer, every big problem with the movie is perfectly laid out:
Really, all the Screen Junkies had to do was recap the plot of the movie, and we were left scratching our heads at how this film ever got made.
Like the video pointed out, this isn’t exactly what audiences were expecting when they begged Hollywood for an original movie.

But of course the ridiculousness of the premise is exactly what some people love about Jupiter Ascending. It was a study in clichés and convenient plot twists, and that alone might make it worth watching.
