Homeland season 3 has wrapped in Charlotte, NC, momentarily, and is to continue in Raleigh, NC, with court scenes set to be shot inside the Supreme Court building and surrounding areas. Who’s in trouble?

Homeland season 3 production is well underway after we learned of Claire Danes being thrown back in front of the cameras last week in Charlotte, NC. Now though, the crew have left Charlotte and moved on to Raleigh, to continue filming the eagerly anticipated third season.

WLOS.com issued a press release saying that Homeland will be shooting scenes at the Supreme Court building, and surrounding areas. We imagine that Danes will be back to shooting, possibly with Mandy Patinkin. Here’s what the press release said, according to WLOS.com.

The Emmy Award-winning Showtime television series “Homeland” is filming at the state Supreme Court building and historic State Capitol building in Raleigh. The show will film scenes for its third season [on] Monday inside the Supreme Court building and around the Capitol and grounds [on] Tuesday. Curbsides of South Wilmington Street between East Morgan Street and Hargett Street, and on part of the east curb lane of the 100 block of Fayetteville Street.

Despite the filming being circulated around the historical State Capitol building, we believe that the filming will be covering for Washington, DC. Homeland‘s Facebook casting page advertised “Washington, DC types” specifically for today’s filming, and we imagine that this is the case for Raleigh, posing as Washington, DC.

However, if we link this back to thoughts of Homeland season 3, we expect to see Carrie Mathison and Saul Berenson to have some involvement with these scenes that are being shot. We know all too well that their careers and personal lives are in complete disarray, and this would be an obvious scene to shoot early in production, especially after the Homeland season 2 finale.

We will be keeping a close eye out on production photos which will hopefully be available, as seeing Mandy Patinkin, Claire Danes and the rest of the Homeland CIA cast in full character will be a great way to commence this week for all of us.

Homeland season 3 premieres over on Showtime on September 29.
