A new trailer and poster for Wes Anderson’s upcoming The Grand Budapest Hotel, starring just about every actor ever, has been released.
Already set to premiere at the 2014 Berlin International Film Festival ahead of its March release date, the film is shaping up to be another in a long line of fantastic Wes Anderson films if what we’ve seen is any indication. What’s perhaps most interesting is Anderson has the film’s lone writing credit, which is atypical for the auteur (Hugo Guinness does have a story credit).
Take a look at the new trailer below:
The trailer (and the poster below) really exists to introduce us to its extensive cast of characters, but we don’t have a problem with that at all. As is the case with many of Anderson’s films, the magic of the ensemble has a lot to do with its greatness.
That ensemble features the likes of Ralph Fiennes, F. Murray Abraham, Edward Norton, Mathieu Amalric, Saoirse Ronan, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Léa Seydoux, Jeff Goldblum, Jason Schwartzman, Jude Law, Tilda Swinton, Harvey Keitel, Tom Wilkinson, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, and introduces Tony Revolori. That sounds pretty good to us.
The synopsis:
Wes Anderson’s new film, The Grand Budapest Hotel, recounts the adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend.
Article Continues BelowThe story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for an enormous family fortune — all against the back-drop of a suddenly and dramatically changing Continent.
