We’re winding down to the last few episodes of season 2, and last night’s episode was definitely one of our favorites! Check out a recap of what John and Mason thought of last night’s Fleetwood Mac-inspired “Rumours” episode!
So here’s what happened:
Sue Sylvester revives the school newspaper and decides to print a few inflammatory blind items. The glee club gains a whole new respect for Sam when they discover some interesting new information about his family life. Meanwhile, April Rhodes returns to Lima and tries to convince Mr. Schuester to hit the road with her.
John’s Thoughts
This is probably one of my favorite episodes of season 2! I really loved April and Will opening with “Dreams.” Such a beautiful song and they sang it so well. My heart breaks for Brittany, and I’m sad to see the Brittany/Artie romance die off. It’s the one couple that I actually liked. And does anyone even care about Quinn/Rachel/Finn? I’m sooo over it all!! The rest of the show was just really fantastic. I loved every song on the show tonight, and I loved the drama with Sam. It’s about time that we got to see what was going on with him. When his little sister said, “Don’t cry Sammy,” I pretty much lost it.
Random thoughts:
– Is Coach Beiste still alive? If so where is she?
– I have a theory about one of the future episodes. Highlight over the arrows to read my thoughts!
– -> I think April Rhodes will die! <-
– Can we get some storyline on Mercedes? I feel like I haven’t heard anything about her life this whole season.
– Is Will Schuester leaving Glee all together?
Next week’s Prom episode should be really exciting and I can’t wait to see Klaine together!
Mason’s Thoughts:
It was pretty evident from the way Sam looked every time he walked out the motel that something was going on in personal life and nothing extracurricular was really happening. I liked how in one of my previous posts Darren Criss mentioned how he wants to see more storyline involving the personal lives and families of the characters and then this episode delves into the life of Sam – Go figure.
Besides enlightening us on Sam’s troubled life, I enjoyed the entire episode being about Fleetwood Mac songs. I saw them in concert last summer and they put on a pretty powerful show. All of their songs have a great meaning and the episode revolved around their messages. They used the songs very well in the storyline.
Artie and Brittany was bound to die off – just like every relationship on the show – but it’s a shame that he called her stupid. That was probably one of the worst ways to end that one. As for Santana, she’s in love with someone that she’s probably not going to get. Generally, a break-up, such as Artie’s and Brittany’s, wouldn’t make someone more into girls – but we’ll see. They have previously kissed and there is this thing called a rebound.. plus it’s Brittany.
Random thoughts:
– I hope to see Will end up with Emma.
– I’m still predicting Rachel and Finn ending up together.
– Does anyone in the Glee club date OUTSIDE of the Glee club?
– “Santofsky”
