Frozen II just released a new, full trailer, and the kingdom of Arendelle is facing trouble unlike anything they’ve seen before.
The kingdom of Arendelle has seen its fair share of trials, losing their reigning king and queen in a tragic accident, surviving the unique growing pains of a queen who is learning to manage her magical ice powers, you know, normal stuff. However, in the new Frozen II trailer, it seems that a threat unlike anything they’ve seen before is coming.
Things are getting pretty intense in Arendelle in Frozen II. When Elsa (Idina Menzel) begins hearing a mysterious voice calling to her, she must follow it to find the source and find the reason behind a mysterious wind making life in Anrendelle too dangerous to stay.
Ultimately, Elsa’s powers allow her to uncover a mysterious, hidden village her father visited as a child. What she learns there won’t just uncover the truth behind the voice calling her and the dangerous wind, but may also reveal the truth behind her powers.
Of course, Elsa won’t be on this journey alone. Our old friends Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), Olaf (Josh Gad), and of course, her sister Anna (Kristen Bell) will be by her side for the entire journey.
Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf will journey far from the boundaries of Arendelle, exploring the mysterious, hidden village, and also encountering some giant rock creatures that remind us a bit of the snow monster, Marshmallow, that we met in the first Frozen.
Does that mean we’ll be encountering more people with the power to harness other elements? We’ll have to wait and see who we meet on this amazing journey!
While we don’t know what magic waits for us in Frozen II, the movie will most definitely introduce us to a lot of new faces, and they’ve got some pretty impressive actors to bring those characters to life. Sterling K. Brown voices the character Lieutenant Matthias, who we meet briefly in the trailer, and Evan Rachel Wood provides the voice of Anna and Elsa’s mother, Iduna.
Frozen II looks like it will be a thrilling follow up to the massive first film, and we can’t wait to see what adventures are in store for Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf. The movie will open in movie theaters everywhere on November 22.
