We’ve officially gotten our first look at Teen Wolf season 5, and it seems like this year will be even darker than the last.
Without further ado, check out our first look at Teen Wolf season 5 below:
The video is nothing more than 20 seconds of clips in quick succession, but there’s still a lot to look at here. The text says, “The doctors will see you now,” and we hear Dr. Deaton say, “The rules have changed.” Perhaps this could have something to do with the secret facility inside Eichen House, which we now know houses dangerous creatures.
The first thing we see in the Teen Wolf season 5 teaser trailer is a creature in a tank, and it doesn’t look like anything that’s frequented Beacon Hills in the past. We then see three mysterious figures cloaked in black, and we have to wonder if these are the doctors we’re being warned about.
Some of our favorite characters, Stiles, Kira, Malia, Lydia, and Scott, are seen in quick glimpses, sometimes looking at each other, sometimes looking just plain worried. Someone we can’t quite identify then comes up against one of these mysterious figures and gets a terrifying metal contraption pressed against his head. That does not look pleasant.

Another tiny video also surfaced online, which gives us the “Watch your pack” tagline:

In both videos, the text and logos look like some sort of melting black liquid, which could give us another clue as to what this season will be about — if only we could decipher it!
The two biggest pieces of news coming out of Teen Wolf season 5 as of late are that Orny Adams will not be returning to the show this year, and that Tyler Hoechlin will not be a series regular.
Teen Wolf season 5 premieres on Monday, June 29, at 10 p.m. on MTV. The network picked up the show for a total of 20 episodes, though the first 10 will air prior to a hiatus, after which the back half of the season will make it to our television screens.
