The final Dawn of the Planet of the Apes trailer has been released starring Andy Serkis, Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke, Keri Russell, and more.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will be released on July 11, and with each new piece of promotion that has been released our excitement for the upcoming film only gets higher.
The first trailer was released back in December and featured a very fierce Caesar. In the second trailer he was even more fierce, and this trailer features a Ceasar that is a bit more rounded out.
The trailer was released on the film’s official YouTube account. Check it out:
“Apes do not want war,” Caesar tells the humans, led by Gary Oldman’s Dreyfus character. Of course, Caesar won’t get his wish as most of the humans would never be able to accept a world where apes and humans live on the same level. The coolest moment in the trailer had to be when one of the apes (this one looks like Koba played by Toby Kebbell) sneakily mows two humans down with a machine gun. The action in the movie looks to be speactacular, and the special effects that appear to be complete are looking really great.
As we first saw in some stills released back in April, the apes will be wielding guns, and that gave us an idea of what to expect. The level of destruction and chaos that was shown at the end of Rise of the Planet of the Apes was a tease, and now that the apes have guns in Dawn, the level of chaos that will be in the film will be so much more than we imagined.
Official synopsis:
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
