Following its debut in theaters with The Other Woman over the weekend, the second Fault in Our Stars trailer has hit the internet.
The new trailer begins with narration by Hazel (Shailene Woodley). “I believe we have a choice in this world about how to tell sad stories. On the one hand, you can sugarcoat it. Nothing is too messed up that can’t be fixed with a Peter Gabriel song,” she says.
“I like that version as much as the next girl does. It’s just not the truth. This is the truth: Doctors appointments, reality shows, and worst of all support group.”
There are plenty of great scenes in this trailer including Hazel with her parents (“You don’t take pot,” Mr. Lancaster tells her), Hazel and Gus’ first encounter in support group (including a great appearance by Mike Birbiglia as Patrick), and the metaphor moment that was seen in the first clip earlier this month. There are also a couple shots with Gus’ good friend Isaac (Nat Wolff).
Towards the end of the trailer we see a couple of moments from Hazel and Gus’ intimate Amsterdam scene. The couple have a cute moment when the former’s shirt won’t come off.
